What's up with the writing (or lack thereof)?
The more I settle into the routine of my new wedded life in Vancouver, the less I feel like blogging. This is not because I value blogging any less, it is simply because I have less to say nowadays.
I am beginning to paint a broader picture in my mind lately of some kind of future that might await me. The more I ponder the possibilities of this picture, the less inclined I am to ponder other various things which have previously turned into blog posts. Put another way, my increased internal focus has resulted in a decreased external (i.e. blogging) focus. I apologise to my friends who would rather I write more.
However, writing more is precisely what I am pondering these days. But this would be writing more in a different direction: specifically, a book. It is much too early and would be presumptuous to divulge any details about this propositional literary undertaking of mine, but I wanted to at least give notice as a sort of disclaimer for the likely increasing periods of silence on Fool for Jesus.
I will probably continue to post occasional snippets of personal updates and links to other online content that I find noteworthy. But as for deep, insightful essays about life on par with those of my friends in virtualand, don’t expect much—unless I get really inspired.
Having said all of that, I hereby present a list of news/magazine sites that I have been frequenting lately, for your enjoyment. Call it a distractionary peace offering, if you will:
… and here are some other blogs by people whom I like:
Ciao for now.
